Games We are Thankful For
It’s almost Thanksgiving and late-season match-ups are heating up. With only a few games left, a single win or loss could define a team’s entire season.
The second-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders go to Oklahoma to battle the fifth-ranked Sooners in an effort to keep alive their dream of playing for a national title. Oklahoma, at 9-1, is hopeful that a victory over Tech would rank them above the other one-loss contenders.
Ranked at #7, Utah is undefeated and hosts #14 Brigham Young. Bragging rights for the state of Utah is not all that’s at stake. The Utes hope to climb up the BCS poll by virtue of a decisive victory against a Top 20 opponent.
Penn State is 10-1 and ranked at #8. Many one-loss teams will tout “strength of schedule” to bolster their claim for higher BCS ranking. The 15th ranked Michigan State Spartans represent both a serious challenge and an opportunity for the Nittany Lions. This Big Ten match-up could decide a conference or even the national championship.

College Football’s Turkeys

FanFare asked the Suntime sales staff, “who has been this year’s big disappointment” in college football. They responded with what they felt were this year’s biggest “turkeys.” We let the art staff illustrate their selections. |

Back Into the Sling of Things
Suntime is very pleased to welcome back Jonathan Stewart. Jonathan’s recent mountain biking accident left him with a shattered clavicle, three fractured ribs and a lung that was both bruised and punctured.
With such a laundry list of injuries we were all surprised and delighted to see Jonathon back at work after missing just 7 days. A sling-supported Jonathon told FanFare that he would like to “thank everyone who emailed and called wishing me well — it really meant a lot." |
