A week ago the NFL’s 32 teams selected 253 college athletes to join their football teams. After three days and seven rounds of choosing, the picks stacked up in a manner that offered a hint as to which collegiate program had the most individual talent.
One could argue the school with the most gifted players would make the best team. Though not always true, the Alabama Crimson Tide may provide evidence that it is. The National Champions had the most players (eight in all) drafted by the pros. The Georgia Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes each had seven players selected from their teams. Boise State, California, Iowa, Michigan State, Oklahoma and South Carolina each can be proud that six of their teammates will ascend to the next level.
Congratulations to all the players selected in the 77th NFL Draft. Fanfare would like to wish all of them a long and prosperous professional career.
