Silently Undefeated
As Iowa says goodbye to the ranks of the undefeated, only six teams remain. Two of these three teams; Florida, Alabama and Texas, need to simply win the rest of their games and they will play for a national title. While the other three; Boise State, Cincinnati and TCU could win all of their games and never be given a shot.

Such is life without a playoff system. We hope that by season’s end there are five undefeated teams. Perhaps this would help those teams who have done all they could, but for whom the computer still said, "No."
