The University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona will host the first ever BCS Championship game between Ohio State and Florida. The 63,500-seat stadium (expandable to 72,800) opened on August 12, 2006 when the Cardinals
defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 21-13, in a preseason game. The new stadium is incredible, but unless you have friends or family in the area,
do not plan on having an easy time finding a place to stay. Hotel space is at a premium since new construction hasn't kept up with the demand that the new stadium has produced.
