With less then a month left before Selection Sunday, there are more than 35 college teams on the bubble. Which of these teams can hold onto the soapy surface, and which teams' hopes will burst? Here’s a quick assessment of two bubble bouncers.
Florida State with a record of 18-7 - Even with 7 big losses, the Seminoles could still have a chance to make it to this year’s tournament. They can't afford a letdown in either of their next two games against Wake Forest and Maryland. But if they get out of those resume-killing minefields in one piece, they should be in decent shape.
West Virginia with a record of 16-9, is in worst shape with 9 losses, but they could still have a chance to make it this year. They still have the five top-40 wins, and though West Virginia has a tough remaining Big East draw, there's very little chance that they won't be worthy of an at-large bid on Selection Sunday.
With so many teams on the bubble we can’t cover them all, but we wish everyone the very best at getting to this year’s tournament.
