Fanfare’s own college football prognosticators, John and Roberto, have selected their top four college prospects for tonight’s draft.
The top prospect this year is Alabama’s defensive tackle, Marcell Dareus. Dareus made a big splash in college football with his MVP performance in the BCS National Championship Game against Texas in 2010.
Next is Texas A&M’s outside linebacker, Von Miller. Miller played four years for the Aggies, receiving first-team All-American honors during his junior and senior seasons.
Third is LSU’s cornerback, Patrick Peterson. In 2010 Peterson won the 2010 Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive player. Peterson is skipping his senior season to enter the 2011 NFL draft.
Rounding out the list is Georgia’s wide receiver, A.J. Green. In 2010 Green was selected to the Walter Camp All-America Second Team and to the Pro Football Weekly All-America Team.
Whichever pro team picks up these four outstanding players, the true winners will be us as we will get to watch these amazing athletes compete for years to come.
