College football season is over and Fanfare can now focus on hoops!

We are midway through the college basketball season and less than a handful of undefeated schools remain in Division I.

Arizona and Syracuse occupy the #1 and #2 on the AP Top 25. The two universities have held these spots for six weeks now. The rankings also feature a pair of Big 10 teams in the top five with Wisconsin at #3 and Michigan State in the fourth position. The Wichita State Shockers were 17-0 as the nation's fifth ranked squad.

Some of the ranking's usual suspects like Kentucky, Kansas, Memphis and Louisville have shuffled around outside the top ten with Duke battling to remain in the top 25 at #23.

Though rankings are important, it doesn't always define a champion. We are just about two months away from the madness that is the 2014 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament! The only important assessment is whether or not you make it to the Big Dance!
